A little about me.

I’m Tera — a woman diagnosed with ADHD later in life, and a mom to an incredible ADHD kid of my own.

For years, I thought the overwhelm, the big emotions, the constant effort to “keep it together” were just personal shortcomings. It wasn’t until my own diagnosis, and then my son’s, that so much finally made sense.

Backpacking Through ADHD started as a way to understand our brains, our emotions, and the winding paths we were on. What began as something personal became a space for honest conversations, shared experiences, and compassion, for ourselves and for each other.

This isn’t about fixing ADHD or finding a perfect system. It’s about learning how to navigate, with more understanding, less shame, and a lot more grace. One trail at a time.
